About Summit Academy North Middle School

It’s never too early to start preparing for college. That’s why, as the first middle school in Michigan to be accepted into the No Excuses University Network, we strive to ensure that every one of our students graduates with the tools they need to be successful in high school, college and beyond.

As a charter school, we have all the resources your child needs to prepare for their future. It all starts with our highly skilled teachers, who are not only incredibly talented but also fiercely devoted to the welfare of their students. They provide engaging, hands-on learning opportunities, as well as individualized attention that ensures every student is adequately challenged. The support of our teachers extends beyond the classroom and into the bleachers, where they regularly attend sporting events and other after-school activities.

In addition to dedicated teachers, we offer a number of programs designed to challenge our students and ignite their minds, including a 1-to-1 technology program that equips every student with a personal laptop to use both at home and in the classroom. We also offer supplemental classes, free school tutoring and free summer school so our students never have an excuse to fall behind!

Of course, middle school should be about more than just academic growth. That’s why we’re also focused on giving our students a memorable social experience. From Spirit Week to “House” Contests, which pit grade levels against each other in friendly competition, our school spirit couldn’t be stronger.
